Don Forman Nissan – A Philanthropist who Owns a Car Business

Don Forman Nissan contradicts normal characterizations about car salesmen. No doubt he is an extremely successful owner of an automotive dealership, having spent 20+ years as the owner of United Nissan in Las Vegas, Nevada. But his real identity stretches far beyond that – Don Forman has teamed up with Fox5 Sports Surprise Squad as a philanthropist and concerned citizen who has the interests of his community first and foremost in his mind!

There are many instances – each one of them news and praiseworthy. The reason you don’t hear about them constantly is that Don prefers to do his work behind the scenes. Despite his best efforts, though, some of his activities have come to the forefront – sometimes in his role as a sponsor of the Surprise Squad, and sometimes through unilateral actions and gestures that help to transform the lives of others.

Take the time when an autistic student was struggling to get to a prom, despite a concerned lady friend who was intent on accompanying him. When she reached out to the Surprise Squad, Don Forman stepped up to the plate. Not only did the prom date happen, but the boy also received a scholarship that allowed him to continue his education beyond high school.

Assistance to Youth

Don has come to the forefront on many occasions to help local students. For example, when a group of high school girls was short of funds they needed to attend UNLV, Don Forman Automotive not only provided financial help to cover the shortfall, they provided cars so the girls could continue their commutes.

Similar help has come for student-athletes whenever they need sponsors or transportation. Don Forman had always tried to support young sports enthusiasts, like when he got a personal meeting arranged for a young boy with two of his personal heroes – bull-riding stars who were in town for an event which the boy got to attend.

Don Forman Nissan Helps Victims

Forman has stepped up for the victims of many tragedies, such as the Sandy Hook and Mandalay Bay shootings. Starting with a blood drive and help for the families directly affected by the disasters, he did not stop there but looked to extend help to the community as a whole. For example, Don offered counseling and time off to any of the employees at his dealerships. Charity begins at home, they say. This happened to be an example.

Helping Worthy Causes

Another touching act of philanthropy was when Don Forman Automotive helped Glen Zani, a man with a big heart but a shortage of resources. Zani constructs crosses and delivers them to sites of tragedies, such as the Colorado School Shootings, Sandy Hook, and the Route 91 Harvest Festival. Now, he can fulfill his mission with all the help he needs from Don Forman.

That’s the way Forman rolls – and Fox5 is a perfect venue. Many of his good deeds stay behind the scenes, which is the way Don prefers it.

He has stepped up big time during the COVID 19 era. The employees at Don Forman Nissan are afforded all the help they need, along with community outreach programs that Forman participates in on a regular basis. His community outreach programs during these difficult times will be remembered in the years to come, giving him the kind of reputation that can only come from selfless deeds over decades.
